The Food-a-thon is an outpouring of love and food in the towns of Orange and Athol and benefits 5 food pantries (Franklin County Community Meals Program's Orange Food Pantry, Our Lady Immaculate Food Pantry, St Vincent de Paul's of St. Mary's Church, the Salvation Army in Athol and Wendell's Good Neighbors Pantry).
Local businesses and schools participate and the action will be live on AOTV http://www.aotv13.org and WJDF radio http://wjdf.com
Sponsors include Pete's Tire Barn, Hannaford, Walmart, Market Basket, Witty's Funeral Home, Lyman Signs, Pete Lyman Excavating, Friendly Town Pizza, The Pizza Factory, The Deja Brew, Diemand Egg Farm, New Salem General Store, Athol Memorial Hospital, The Highland Press, Athol Daily News, The Recorder and Montague Reporter.
Donations of food and cash are accepted on May 16 at Hannaford, Walmart or municipal parking lot in center of Orange or you may send a check payable to the fiscal sponsor, the Orange Historical Society.
