Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Featuring: Metropolitan Opera tenor, Irwin Reese and local pianist, Julia Bady. Their concert spans many centuries from the Renaissance period to African American Art songs of the 20th-Centruy. There will be toe-tapping songs from Broadway shows as well as soulful spirituals
