Charles Neville and the New England Nevilles
Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center is proud to present the New England Nevilles—Charles Neville and his sons Khalif Neville and Talyn Neville—in concert on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). The concert will be held at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center, 289 Main St., Greenfield, MA. Advance tickets are $10 and available at http://hawksandreed.com (tickets at the door are $15). Charles Neville: The second oldest Neville brother has the most diverse musical background. His experience on saxophone has included rhythm & blues, funk, jazz, be-bop, popular and even American Indian music. Having lived and played in Western Massachusetts for 20 years, he has cemented his local, as well as international, legend status. Khalif Neville: While being born in New Orleans, Khalif has lived in Western Massachusetts for most of his life. Studying and playing with his father from a young age, Khalif has earned his stripes, and with his trio Khalif Neville & Co. is pushing the boundaries of jazz, and music as a whole. Talyn Neville: While only being a sophomore in high school, Talyn has been playing professionally for several years, with his father and his brother, and in other ventures he holds down the New Orleans Rhythmic tradition on his drum set like only a Neville can.
