They Didn’t Change His Name at Ellis Island
Learn about ship manifests, naturalization records, ports of entry and other clues to foreign origins. Immigration records can lead us beyond the shores of the US in the quest for ancestors. This session will explore records from New York, Boston, and other ports of entry, as well as records being made available in European ports of embarkation. We will have access to computers to perform a search during the class and learn where images of the ships and stories of the voyages are stored.
